Terms of Service

The Service

FE CTF Lab provides frontend CTF-style assessment tools that may help recruiters evaluate practical frontend skills. The service is experimental, may change over time, and may be paused, limited, or discontinued at any time.

Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law.
• You are responsible for your account credentials, invited users, candidate links, and all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current.
• You must not share access in a way that creates security, privacy, legal, or operational risk.

Recruiter Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to use FE CTF Lab in hiring, screening, interviewing, training, or evaluation workflows.
• You are responsible for candidate notices, permissions, lawful bases, employment-law compliance, privacy-law compliance, recordkeeping, and fair decision-making.
• You must not use the service in a discriminatory, unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or unfair manner.
• You must independently review assessment outputs and must not rely on FE CTF Lab as the sole basis for hiring or employment decisions.

Candidate Responsibilities

• You must follow assessment instructions and use the service honestly.
• You must not submit illegal, harmful, confidential, infringing, malicious, or unauthorized content.
• You understand that your assessment activity and results may be shared with the recruiter or organization that invited you.

Prohibited Use

• Do not attack, scan, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass, or disrupt the service except where an assessment expressly permits a specific action inside its intended challenge boundary.
• Do not access accounts, candidate links, assessments, data, APIs, or systems without authorization.
• Do not upload malware, exploit code, secrets, regulated sensitive data, or third-party confidential material unless expressly authorized and legally permitted.
• Do not use FE CTF Lab to violate privacy, employment, anti-discrimination, intellectual property, security, export, or other applicable laws.

No Professional Advice

FE CTF Lab does not provide legal, HR, employment, recruiting, compliance, security, or professional advice. Assessment templates, scores, reports, challenge outcomes, and related signals are informational only and may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, unavailable, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.

Assessment Disclaimers

FE CTF Lab does not guarantee candidate skill, job performance, hiring outcomes, assessment fairness, assessment accuracy, challenge availability, scoring correctness, or suitability for any role, organization, jurisdiction, or decision. Recruiters and organizations remain solely responsible for reviewing results and making lawful decisions.

Intellectual Property

FE CTF Lab, including its challenge designs, UI, text, code, branding, templates, reports, and service materials, is owned by the operator or relevant licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws.

You retain rights in content you submit, but you grant FE CTF Lab a limited license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, analyze, and share that content as needed to operate the service, administer assessments, provide results, secure the service, and comply with these Terms.

Third-Party Services

FE CTF Lab may rely on third-party hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, monitoring, security, and other providers. The operator is not responsible for third-party service outages, errors, security incidents, policy changes, or data handling beyond what applicable law requires.

Suspension and Termination

Access may be suspended, limited, or terminated at any time if the operator believes there is misuse, legal risk, security risk, operational risk, violation of these Terms, or any other reason that affects the service or other users.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FE CTF Lab is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, security, accuracy, and reliability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FE CTF Lab and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, lost-profit, lost-revenue, lost-data, hiring, employment, candidate, assessment, service-availability, security, or third-party-service damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of FE CTF Lab and its operator for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use FE CTF Lab in the three months before the claim or INR 1,000.

Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FE CTF Lab and its operator from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your submitted content, your candidate invitations, your hiring or employment practices, your privacy or employment-law obligations, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing Law

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms and disputes relating to FE CTF Lab will be governed by the laws applicable to the operator's place of residence or principal operation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts or other forums with authority over that place will be the expected venue unless applicable law requires another venue.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are posted. Continued use of FE CTF Lab after an update means you accept the updated Terms for future use.
